ORO wished to contribute and help those most in need to get through the COVID-19 pandemic, so in light of this, we donated products to the CAMACOES Senegal initiative.

CAMACOES Senegal delivered essential products donated in Spain to help out those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Senegal. The ceremony took place at the GINDDI centre in Dakar, an institution responsible for taking in and protecting minors in difficult circumstances. They will be responsible, under the supervision of the Ministry of Women, Family, Gender and Child Protection, for delivering these products where they are needed the most.

The ceremony was simple and followed all the necessary COVID-19 protection measures. The CEO of CAMACOES Senegal, Mr. Gaspar Baños, mentioned and thanked the Spanish companies that took part in this initiative, since, without their tremendous support, the donations could not have come to fruition. He also reiterated his thanks to the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, that coordinated the various companies. In total, 42 pallets of essential goods were donated.

On behalf of the Spanish Embassy in Senegal, the acting Head of Business, Mr. José Luis González, congratulated CAMACOES for this initiative, also highlighting the importance of cooperation and exchange between Spain and Senegal.

Finally, on behalf of the Senegalese Ministry of Family, Mr. Ciré Lô, The Ministry´s Head of Cabinet, expressed his sincere gratitude for the products donated, praising the good relationship between Spain and Senegal.

ORO launches a new range of concentrated detergents

ORO, with the primary objective of satisfying needs in the home, is about to launch the ´Traditional & Essential´ range of detergents, towards the end of 2019. A new range of detergents made up of seven products that cover laundry careneeds as well as being highly concentrated, effective against tough stains, containing enzymes that benefit protecting fibres and maintaining colours, as well as an evolution of our exclusive fragrances.

The range of detergents consists of 7 products, a more traditional range, with a Marseille detergent, a blue gel detergent and a dark laundry detergent, and on the other hand, the Essences of Well-Being range, with the Peach Coconut, Rosehip, Ylang Ylang Lavender and Orange Sandalwood detergents.

All the detergents come in 2.5 litre format for 50 washes, with great results against tough stains, formulated with proactive enzymes, made with 100% natural soap and exclusive and lingering perfumes.

The Essences of Well-Being range of detergents is complemented by fabric softeners with the same fragrance, for a unique washing experience.

The Valencian company ORO acquires the Mistol brand

The manufacturer of household cleaning products that is part of the French group Altair acquires the historic dishwashing detergent brand that the multinational had acquired in 1969 and sold exclusively in Spain.

The company ORO has signed an agreement to acquire the hand dishwashing detergent brand Mistol, with a significant presence in the Spanish market, to strengthen its growth strategy in different categories and its expansion throughout Spain and across the world.

Mistol was founded in 1953, becoming the first dishwashing detergent to be sold in a glass bottle, rather than sold in bulk. It was taken over by Henkel Ibérica in 1969 and has since been sold exclusively in Spain, where it has a significant presence, according to company sources.

ORO´s CEO, Aníbal Ayala, has stated that the Mistol brand is a ´´perfect fit´´ for the company´s business strategy, focused on growth in home care, with new categories available and the expansion in Spain and in the markets it exports to.

ORO, part of the French group Altaïr, produces and sells home care products in more than 40 countries in Africa, Europe, Central America and Asia. It manufactures products such as insecticides, liquid detergents, air fresheners and cleaning products under the Oro, Caselli, Starwax The Fabulous and Respect brands.

ORO reaches an agreement with the Asociación Cultural y Deportiva San Antonio de Benagéber (ACDSAB).

The agreement was entered into to forge a partnership that allowed the ACDSAB to equip their sports schools with a lot more resources. These resources facilitated purchasing equipment, as well as the ongoing training of the school´s coaches.

Currently, the ACDSAB gives young people the chance to do sports in the following disciplines: football, basketball, handball, dance, capoeira, indoor football, karate, multi-sport (for children), skating and tennis.

All these disciplines benefit from this new agreement.

The company ORO has received a grant from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) as part of the programme of subsidies for SME digitalisation projects.

The aim of the funded project is to roll out a software aimed at production control that monitors and documents how the plant is managed, MES system (Manufacturing Execution System).

This grant is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The amount granted was €6,216.68.

ORO launches the Respect brand

ORO launches the Respect Herbal brand onto the market, the first product from the new ´Respect, responsible efficiency´ brand. It is an insect repellent with 100% natural, plant-based active ingredients. ´´We have succeeded in launching a repellent with these characteristics onto the market while maintaining maximum effectiveness against all types of insects, including tiger mosquitoes and mites,´´ states the Valencian company.

“Our challenge is, based on this new repellent and combining legal and market requirements, to further develop our Respect product range with natural active ingredients and sustainable green products while maintaining the same effectiveness´´, continues ORO, adding that the main challenge facing the insecticide market in the short term is ´´adaptation to future legislation, which will transform the current supply of insecticides into a much more humane and environmentally-friendly range and which will bring about a major transformation of the industry”.

This new regulation will imply that ´´products will be increasingly eco-friendly and of natural origin´´, concludes ORO, emphasising that ´´consumers are already demanding an increasing number of convenience products, with more ergonomic and comfortable formats, with softer fragrances”
